Improving Your Core Training for Football

One thing everyone seems to agree upon when it comes to football is that today’s game is faster and more challenging than ever before. Football requires that its athletes be in shape. Not only must they be strong and quick but they also must be accurate. The quarterbacks have an especially challenging position to play since they have to be able to change direction rapidly through the cock phase of throwing, acceleration phase and then release. Furthermore, they have to be able to do this without being injured—and as we know, nobody in football likes a quarterback injury!

In order to train for football it is important that players develop their core training, that is the center of their body, and then work their way out to the extremities. Training the core will result in a stronger body as well as more speed and accuracy when it comes to throwing. It is important not only that the quarterback maintain his ability to accurately hit the target, but also to maintain his own wellness within the body. Any acceleration or force production requires braking or force reduction, and in the operation of a human arm, there is no exception to this rule. A player needs to learn how to decelerate after an intense throw so that it does not cause injury, even after repeated throws in a short amount of time.

The Bodyblade is a piece of exercise equipment that helps with core training and coordination. By holding the Bodyblade out and shaking it with increasing levels of intensity, you can focus training on your center. The device changes direction four and half times a second or 270 times a minute. Furthermore, not only can you improve balance and stability with this training, you can also give your full body a workout, from your biceps to your abs to your quads.

The more attention you give your center the more accuracy you can maintain and the better care of your body you can take. Always remember that when it comes to football training core stabilization is paramount. The Bodyblade has been used in the training camps of numerous big-name universities and NFL training grounds. The Denver Broncos, New England Patriots and New York Jets have all relied on the Bodyblade for core and accuracy training as well as recuperative therapy.
